Landscaping Estimating Software That Measures the Lawn

Quote the lawn from your desk the day the lead comes in. Landscaping estimating software should measure the turf from satellite, take out the house, drive and beds, show you what the job sells for, and send a quote the customer can accept.

Seven tools are compared side by side below, with the prices they publish.

Turf to mow

19,600 sq ft

Mowing, market range $49–$69 a visit · the parcel would read $59–$114

An example lawn, measured the way SurfaceMeasure's Lawn mode measures one. The ranges are the published mowing table on the lawn mowing cost calculator; your price goes on the quote.

What to Look For in Landscaping Estimating Software

Six things separate the tools for lawn and maintenance work. For patios and walks, see hardscape estimating software.

  1. 1 of 6

    The turf, not the parcel

Mowing, aeration and treatments are priced by lawn size. A lot's area includes the house, the drive, the patio and the beds, and quoting from it overprices every lawn you bid.

SurfaceMeasure traces the lawn in up to 100 sections, front and back, and cuts out the house, drive and beds.

  2. 2 of 6

    What the job sells for

A new lawn company does not know the market yet, and an established one quoting a new neighborhood does not either. A range beside the measurement is a check before the quote goes out.

SurfaceMeasure's result card shows the published market range for mowing, fertilization, aeration or sod for the lawn you measured. You set your own price.

  3. 3 of 6

    Material quantities

Fertilizer by the pound, seed by the bag and mulch by the cubic yard come from the area. Some tools work them out; others leave it to you.

SurfaceMeasure gives the area, not the pounds. SiteRecon says its estimates include fertilizer pounds per application and mulch cubic yards.

  4. 4 of 6

Linear feet for edging and fences

Bed edging, fence lines and curb trimming are priced by the foot.

SurfaceMeasure measures area, not perimeter. Deep Lawn lists fence lines; QuoteIQ says MapMeasure Pro measures linear footage.

  5. 5 of 6

A quote the customer can accept

A homeowner gets two or three quotes in a week. A branded quote with an accept button is easier to say yes to than a number in a text.

SurfaceMeasure sends a branded PDF or a link with your logo that the customer accepts online, and Jobs keeps every quote in a pipeline, on a map and with its contact.

  6. 6 of 6

    Whether it runs the route

Recurring visits, route optimization, crew scheduling and invoicing are a different job from measuring and quoting. Some companies want one system; others already run Jobber or LMN.

SurfaceMeasure does not schedule, route or invoice. If you need that in the same app, look at QuoteIQ, Jobber, LMN or Aspire.

Deep Lawn meters by property search: 40 a month on Launch HD, then $2.50 each. The lawn claims of SiteRecon, Deep Lawn and QuoteIQ are their own marketing. For Jobber users, see SurfaceMeasure vs. Jobber. What Jobs does after the quote goes out: landscaping CRM.

Landscaping Software Questions

Several can. SurfaceMeasure traces the turf by address in up to 100 sections and cuts out the house, drive and beds. Deep Lawn and SiteRecon measure with AI; QuoteIQ's MapMeasure Pro measures from satellite imagery from its Beginner tier; Aspire's PropertyIntel outlines surfaces on aerial imagery. Jobber does not measure; its help documentation points to the Deep Lawn integration or to Google Maps.

SurfaceMeasure is $29.99/mo or $299/yr. Deep Lawn starts at $120/mo for 40 property searches, then $2.50 each. SiteRecon starts at $39/mo. QuoteIQ starts at $29.99/mo, with measuring from $99.99/mo. Jobber starts at $49/mo and does not measure. LMN starts at $297/mo after an onboarding fee. Aspire and PropertyIntel do not publish prices. Prices as published on 24 October 2026.

Because mowing is priced by lawn size, and the lot is not the lawn. A 24,000 sq ft parcel prices at $59–$114 a visit on the published table; take out the house, drive and beds and the 19,600 sq ft of turf prices at $49–$69. Quote the parcel and you lose the job to the company that measured.
