Enter Any Property Address

Draw Your Deck (or Surface)

  • Click "Draw Deck" in the toolbar
  • Click once on the map to start placing points around the deck perimeter
  • Each click adds a corner vertex — the polygon fills with a red overlay as you go
  • Click your first point again to close the shape, or double-click anywhere to finish
  • Made a mistake? Hit Undo to remove the last point and keep going
Works for pool decks, driveways, patios, and any flat outdoor surface.

Draw the Pool (Pool Deck Only)

  • After tracing the deck, click "Draw Pool"
  • Trace around the pool the same way — click to place points, close to finish
  • The pool area appears in cyan inside the deck polygon
  • SurfaceMeasure automatically subtracts the pool from the deck
  • Net area = exactly the surface you're coating, cleaning, or sealing
Skip this step entirely in Driveway mode — you only draw one polygon.

No. SurfaceMeasure uses satellite imagery to give you an aerial view of any US property. You type the address, the map loads, and you measure — all from your desk.

For flat outdoor surfaces like pool decks and driveways, satellite measurements are typically within a few percent of a tape measure. Good enough to quote confidently — and usually more consistent than manual measuring.

Yes. Switch to Driveway mode, trace the outline of the driveway on the satellite image, and get the total square footage. Works for straight, curved, and irregular-shaped driveways.

Satellite imagery is typically recent for most US locations, but coverage dates vary. If you notice a major discrepancy — like a pool that isn't in the image — you can still trace the area based on the deck footprint and note it in your quote.

Yes. Any completed measurement can be saved with a custom name and notes. On any paid plan, all saved measurements stay in your account indefinitely — look them up anytime, re-export a PDF, or reference the square footage later.
